"Sow twice as deep as the seed is large" – a fine rule nobody actually measures. The dibber has clear centimetre marks from 2 to 10 cm embossed around the tip, so you press down to the right line and sow with a clear conscience.
The rounded handle fills the hand comfortably even after fifty holes, and the tapered tip makes tidy holes that don't collapse before the seed is in.
A small thing that makes spring sowing both quicker and more even – the rows come up in step.
